  #Jeep accident: One body found in well at Gavicherla near Warangal. #Warangal Rural: The police have retrieved one body from the roadside open well in which a Jeep fell on Tuesday evening near Gavicherla village of Sangam mandal in the district.  Though it was feared that at least four people drowned in the agriculture well after the driver lost control over the vehicle and plunged into the well, only the body of the driver, who was identified as Doni Satish (27) of Enugal village of Parvathagiri mandal, was retrieved from the well.It was believed that about 15 or 16 people were travelling in the jeep from Warangal to Nekkonda town at the time of the mishap and 11 were rescued on Tuesday.  The police launched the search operation soon after the accident for the missing people, but they found only body in the well after pumping out all the water from the well.  The Jeep was also taken out with a huge crane.   Body found in tank at Osman Nagar A highly decomposed body was found in the Burhan Cheruvu tank at Osman Nagar under the Balapur police station limits on Wednesday. According to the police, a few local persons noticed the body floating in the water and pulled it ashore using a small boat.  The body was found near houses that were submerged in water for the last few weeks following heavy rains and was later shifted to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary where it has been preserved for autopsy and identification. The police registered a case and efforts are on to identify the person.

Drunken drive case  Traffic police in Hyderabad found an inebriated man asleep on his bike on the road in the busy IT corridor of Madhapur. According to Cyberabad Traffic Police, the man was found sleeping on his Honda Active on the road near IKEA underpass. Satyanarayana, an office boy, was returning from a bank at Gachibowli on Tuesday in inebriated condition. He parked his bike by the roadside and fell asleep. Cyberabad Traffic Command and Control Centre observed the man on CCTV and alerted police station concerned. “Booking of every drunken drive case is prevention of a potential road accident. Cyberabad Traffic Command and Control Centre observes in CCTV a man sleeping on his bike on mid road and alerts Madhapur Traffic Police,” tweeted Cyberabad Traffic Police. According to police, on examination, his Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) reading was found 334 mg/ 100 ml of blood. He was booked for drunken driving and also for driving without documents.

  Man found dead in Lotus pond lake in Jubilee Hills A 30-year-old man was found dead in Lotus Pond lake at road no. 12 in Jubilee Hills of Hyderabad on Sunday morning. The security guard of the lake park and locals noticed the body floating on water and informed the police. The Banjara Hills police rushed to the spot and pulled out the body from the water. The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ahmed Uddin alias Altaf, a resident of IAS colony of Banjara Hills. According to Altaf family, he went out of home around 5.30 am in the morning and was found dead in the lake after a few hours. Altaf's brother said that the victim goes for a morning walk as he suffering from diabetes. The police registered a mysterious death case and shifted the body to Osmania General hospital for post-mortem. An investigation is underway.

The entire family consisting of four sons, four daughters in law and grandchildren gathered in the village to observe the first death anniversary of Komati Chevva Narasimha. Apparently, all the womenfolk were sleeping in the room, whose roof collapsed around midnight. The ancestral home was lying unused for some time, it was said. The dead were identified as Chevva Manemma (68), Supraja (38), Vaishnavi (21), Rinki (18), Umadevi (38). Two others sustained minor injuries in the incident that sent the entire village into a shock on Dasara festival day. The incharge SP of the district Saisekhar and other officials rushed to the spot. Agriculture minister S Niaranjan Reddy, who is also from Wanaparthy district, has expressed shock over the incident and termed it as most unfortunate.

According to the police, the explosion occurred when a person Yousuf Ali Khan got down from an auto rickshaw at Asbestos colony and stepped on some small container left near a compound wall of the house. “The man sustained an injury on his leg following the explosion.  GHMC demolishes houses built on nalas in flood-hit Jubail Colony  #Hyderabad: Al Jubail colony in Falaknuma was completely inundated following last week’s rain.  The deluge claims several lives besides huge property loss. 10 days after the devastation, GHMC began demolishing houses constructed on nalas.  Today, GHMC officials in the presence of police, began demolishing houses built on nalas. Al Jubail Colony in Falaknuma is one of the most devastated parts of the city due to floods.  About a week ago, an NDRF team had to take up a rescue operation in the area. Over 100 people were trapped in their homes and had to move to on top floors of buildings.  Seven houses were completely flattened while another 230 houses suffered partial damage in the colony.  A total of 1200 people had been evacuated and moved to their relative houses by the police department, NGOs and good samaritans.

The incident took place at Sainikpuri of Ambedkarnagar. According to the CI Narasimhaswamy, the couple -- Dhanalakshmi (55) and Thadakamalla Venkatesh (56), a native of Nalgonda had come to the city four years ago and was residing at a rented house in Sainikpuri. The decision to declare holidays was taken as per the directions of the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The holiday order was issued by Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar.   Hyderabad:A seven-year-old girl died when the wall of a house collapsed   A seven-year-old girl died when the wall of a house collapsed at Chikkadpally on Monday. The victim, Jayasree (7) lived along with her parents and siblings at Sanjaynagar in Chikkadpally and according to the police, the family had recently started demolishing their old house to construct a new house. However, a small portion of the house was yet to be demolished. On Monday morning, Jayasree along with her mother Vijaya Laxmi and sibling Divya were removing the debris in the compound when a portion of the wall collapsed on them. All three sustained injuries and were rushed to a private hospital where doctors pronounced Jayasree dead while two others are undergoing treatment for injuries, the Chikkadpally police said. The police have booked a case and shifted the body of the child to the Osmania Hospital mortuary.

    Hyderabad: The monsoon still quite active over the State.  After receiving heavy rains in the last few days, the city woke up to light and moderate rains on Monday with the monsoon still quite active over the State. Till noon, Peerzadiguda recorded the highest rainfall of 23.4 mm, followed by Musheerabad (22 mm), Uppal (20.3 mm) and Bandlaguda (18.3 mm), according to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS). During the last 24 hours, Serilingampally recorded the maximum rainfall of (63.5 mm) and across the State, Dubbak in Siddipet registered the maximum rainfall of (104.8 mm). Meanwhile, a weather warning from the Meteorological Department, Hyderabad indicated that heavy to very heavy rainfall was likely to occur in districts including Warangal Urban, Warangal Rural, Mahabubabad, Adilabad, Mancherial, Nizamabad and Karimnagar in the next two days.

The minister, who arrived in Hatay to inspect extinguishing efforts that lasted over 30 hours, also added that the fire is fully under control. Pakdemirli said seven apartments, 11 homes, 14 businesses, eight factories, four vehicles, three warehouses and 35 beehives were damaged in the fire, with a total of 70 citizens affected. He added that forestry experts have serious concerns about the possibility of arson or sabotage. Belen mayor told several media outlets that citizens saw a vehicle fleeing after a Molotov cocktail was thrown out.
