Investigation revealed that the unaccounted cash was meant for ‘distribution’ during the by election. Acting on specific intelligence, On 5 October night, Cyberabad cops intercepted a vehicle and Shamirpet and seized cash to the tune of Rs 40 lakhs. Four persons were caught transporting the cash. According to cops, Creta vehicle bearing number Br. No. TS 15 ES 3666 and one Swift Car (AP 36 AT 5925) were found at the toll gate from Medchal.
