#Hyderabad: A five-year-old boy, who was reported missing more than 10 days ago, was found dead near the Outer Ring Road at Shamirpet, with his 12-year-old friend allegedly telling the police that he had fallen from a rock while they were shooting a video to be shared on a social media app.

According to the police, the victim Athiyan, had gone missing from his house on October 12 while he was playing near his house. His parents had approached the police the same day and the police, suspecting a kidnap, had formed special teams and were trying to trace him.

However, with the family not receiving any ransom calls and they denying any enmity with anyone, the police shifted the focus to the boy’s friends and persons known to him, during which they questioned a 12-year-old boy. 

He reportedly told the police that the two were shooting a mobile video at an open place in Shamirpet to post it on a video sharing app, when Athiyan, while performing a stunt, fell from a rock and suffered serious injuries.

Based on the information given by the boy, the police on Monday found the body at an open place near the Outer Ring Road.

 It was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for autopsy while the other boy is being questioned, police said.
