Hyderabad: The Telangana Goverment has declared public holidays

  Hyderabad : The Telangana Goverment has declared public holidays Hyderabad : The Telangana Goverment has declared public holidays in GHMC areas to all Government offices, all private institutions on Wednesday and Thursday  (October 14 and October15) according to an official press release here. The decision to declare holidays was taken as per the directions of the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The holiday order was issued by Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar. The Chief Secretary has also advised the GHMC officials and district collectors to arrange relief camps and shift people living in low lying areas and inundated places to safer areas. The Government has also advised people not to come out unless there is an urgent necessity.

  Stalker sets 20 Year Old nurse on fire for rejecting proposal at Vijayawada Vijayawada: A stalker set a girl on fire after she rejected his proposal at Hanumanpet in Vijayawada city of Krishan district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday night. Identified as 20-year-old Chinnari, the victim was working as a nurse at a Covid care center in Vijayawada city. Hailing from Vissannapeta in Krishna district, Chinnari was staying in a rented room along with her friends close to her working place. The accused S Nagabhusanam, a native of Srirampuram village under Reddigudem Mandal in Krishna district, has been stalking her for the past few months. Unable to bear the harassment, Chinnari lodged a complaint with Governorpet police station in Vijayawada city a few days ago. Police later warned Nagabhusanam and let him go after he furnished an undertaking that he wouldn’t harass her. The girl later withdrew her complaint. Later when the girl was returning home from work, Nagabhusanam chased her again....

  Hyderabad:A seven-year-old girl died when the wall of a house collapsed   A seven-year-old girl died when the wall of a house collapsed at Chikkadpally on Monday. The victim, Jayasree (7) lived along with her parents and siblings at Sanjaynagar in Chikkadpally and according to the police, the family had recently started demolishing their old house to construct a new house. However, a small portion of the house was yet to be demolished. On Monday morning, Jayasree along with her mother Vijaya Laxmi and sibling Divya were removing the debris in the compound when a portion of the wall collapsed on them. All three sustained injuries and were rushed to a private hospital where doctors pronounced Jayasree dead while two others are undergoing treatment for injuries, the Chikkadpally police said. The police have booked a case and shifted the body of the child to the Osmania Hospital mortuary.

    Hyderabad: The monsoon still quite active over the State.  After receiving heavy rains in the last few days, the city woke up to light and moderate rains on Monday with the monsoon still quite active over the State. Till noon, Peerzadiguda recorded the highest rainfall of 23.4 mm, followed by Musheerabad (22 mm), Uppal (20.3 mm) and Bandlaguda (18.3 mm), according to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS). During the last 24 hours, Serilingampally recorded the maximum rainfall of (63.5 mm) and across the State, Dubbak in Siddipet registered the maximum rainfall of (104.8 mm). Meanwhile, a weather warning from the Meteorological Department, Hyderabad indicated that heavy to very heavy rainfall was likely to occur in districts including Warangal Urban, Warangal Rural, Mahabubabad, Adilabad, Mancherial, Nizamabad and Karimnagar in the next two days.

Baba Fasiuddin speaking to the media said that during the visit flowers and chadar was offered at the mazar. “Prayers were made at the shrine for the wellbeing of the people of Telangana and for the overall development of the State,” he said. The speeding car from Jubilee Hills recklessly came to Madhapur and killed a pedestrian, who is identified as Yesu Babu a watchman by profession. According to the sources, the car was driven by Naveen Kumar Goud. During this incident another person was also injured. On coming to know about this incident, a team of Madhapur police have reached the accident site and shifted the dead body of watchman to Osmania General Hospital morgue. However a case of negligence has been registered by the Madhapur police and the driver has been arrested. Further investigation is underway. #Hyderabad

  Forest fire in Turkey's Hatay fully under control, suspected arsonists detained inister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli said Saturday that four suspected arsonists were detained and two were later released over two days of forest fires in southern Hatay province that spread to buildings and sent residents fleeing. The minister, who arrived in Hatay to inspect extinguishing efforts that lasted over 30 hours, also added that the fire is fully under control. Pakdemirli said seven apartments, 11 homes, 14 businesses, eight factories, four vehicles, three warehouses and 35 beehives were damaged in the fire, with a total of 70 citizens affected. He added that forestry experts have serious concerns about the possibility of arson or sabotage. Belen mayor told several media outlets that citizens saw a vehicle fleeing after a Molotov cocktail was thrown out.
