 *ARREST OF THE ORGANIZED ONLINE CRICKET BETTING BOOKIES*

In a Joint Operation of SOT Madhapur Zone of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate and Rajasthan ATS Police resulted in arrest of 7 Bookies who are indulging in Betting in the on going IPL. SOT Madhapur Zone Team & ATS Rajasthan Teams have been watching the activity of Cricket betting teams and the individuals indulging in this illegal activity of cricket betting. As a result the SOT Madhapur received reliable information about online cricket betting being organized in the limits of Gachibowli PS limits and on reliable information on 12.10.2020 in the morning hours, the SOT Madhapur with the help of Gachibowli Police apprehended (07) cricket bookies of Organized Online Cricket betting team while they were exchanging the money related to cricket betting and seized Rs. 65,330/- Net cash, and 01 Betting Board, 04 laptops, 02-Tabs, 46-Mobile Phones, 06-Land Phones and 01 Samsung TV from their possession. The details are as follows.

*DETAILS OF ARRESTED PERSONS:-*

1. Ashok Kumar Chalani, S/o. Kanyalal, Age: 43 yrs, R/o. Purani line, Ganga Shehar, Bikaneer, Rajasthan.(Organizer).

2. Ganesh Malchalani, S/o. Kanyalal, Age: 47 yrs, R/o. Bloosam Chamber, Gachibowli, N/o. Purani line, Ganga Shehar, Bikaneer, Rajasthan.

3. Pankaj Seth, S/o. Kesari Chand, Age:34 yrs, R/o. Vaihshalinagar,  Jaipur, Rajasthan.

4. Surendhar Chalani, S/o. Rajendar kumar, R/o. Purani line, Ganga Shehar, Bikaneer, Rajasthan.

5. Shanthi lal Baid, S/o. Champalal baid, Age: 53 yrs, R/o. Banaras main road, Bikaner, Rajasthan.

6. Beraram Purohith, S/o. Jugal Kishore, Age:32 yrs, R/o. Bikaneer, Jaipur, Rajasthan.

7. Manoj Pasman, S/o. Bhanu Prasad, Age:35 yrs, R/o. Parsagarh, Bihar state.

*MODE OF OFFENCE:*

Ashok Kumar is the key person to this online cricket betting. He came to know about online cricket betting and he is organizing the online Cricket betting in Hyderabad with the main line access from Rajasthan. Similarly many sub lines access are functioning from Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad. The Ashok Kumar and Ganesh have  access to many persons who are betting through online for commission. The Profit and loss of the Gamblers/Punters are seen from time to time in the online Betting App provided by the agents. The cash transactions of this illegal transactions are largely through online payments, but in some cases, it is net cash. It is observed that many youth have indulged in this online cricket betting through and losing high amounts of money in the betting.
