  Fearing booth capturing by TRS, AIMIM, BJP asks SEC to tighten security in Old City poll booths  The Bharatiya Janata Party has asked Telangana State Election Commission (SEC) to provide high security in sensitive polling stations particularly in the Old City for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) polls scheduled to take place on 1 December.  The BJP said that there is great apprehension that the AIMIM and TRS may indulge in booth capturing in sensitive polling stations during the municipal polls particularly in the Old City areas.   GHMC polls: Ballot papers to be sent tomorrow The printing of ballot papers for all 150 wards of GHMC has been completed and the same will be dispatched to the GHMC zonal offices under tight security from November 27. Each column in a ballot paper can accommodate eight candidates, and where more than eight candidates are contesting, the paper will be printed with two columns while for Jangammet ward, where highest number of candidates are contesting (20), it is printed with three columns. Along with ballot papers, other polling materials like indelible ink will also be dispatched on the same day.

  Election authority, GHMC illegally shift 10k voters of Azampura to Chawni: MBT Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) has alleged discrepancies in the final voter list issued by Azampura Municipal Division.  The party has written to Telangana State Election Commission stating that more than 10,000 voters of Chanchalguda, which are part of the ward 28-Azampura Municipal Division, have been shown as voters of ward 29-Chawni Municipal Division.  The party alleged that this had been done intentionally to help the AIMIM candidate. Such fraud was also committed during 2015 GHMC elections at the insistence of AIMIM by GHMC. MBT had approached the High Court which came to our rescue by restoring the original voter list of Azampura Division. This time the same mischief has been committed. Hyderabad records second lowest temperature  Hyderabad recorded the second lowest temperature in a decade for the month of November, as the city’s minimum temperature dropped to 12.8 degree Celsius, which is 5.8 degree Celsius below normal, according to the India Meteorological Department. In the last 10 years, Hyderabad had recorded lower temperature than this, of 12.4 degree Celsius twice, on November 18, 2012 and November 11, 2016. Most other parts of Telangana too recorded 5 to 6 degree Celsius below normal minimum temperature. According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society the lowest temperature in the State on Tuesday was a chilling 7.1 degree Celsius at Kohir in Sangareddy district as many parts of southern Telangana recorded minimum temperatures between 7 to 15 degree Celsius.
