Honourable Special Sessions Judge for XII AMSJ Court, Nampally, Hyderabad,  Smt. T. Anitha has convicted the accused person Shaik Rizwan, Aged 35 years, U/sec. 376(2)(f)(n), 506 IPC and sec 5(l)(m)(n) r/w 6 Pocso Act to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for 25 years and to pay a fine of Rs.5,000/-  and awarded compensation of Rs. 5,00,000/- to the victim girl through DLSA.

The parents of the victim have 2 children, and the victim girl is aged 11 years.  Mother went to work early morning on 12.12.2022 as there was some meeting in the office.  Victim was sleeping beside her father who sexually abused her by removing both their clothes.  She was unable to shout as he forcefully closed her mouth very tightly.   In the evening when the victim’s mother returned from work,  the child was sobbing with stomach pain.  When Mother enquired, the child revealed that her father forcefully abused her sexually and he has been abusing her several times by threatening her.

On that, her Mother came to Chandrayanguta Police Station and shifted victim to Bharosa Centre where her statement was recorded and medical evidence was done.

Upon the receipt of this complaint, the then Sri. K.N. Prasad Varma, Inspector of Police, Chandrayangutta, registered FIR in CR.no.733/2022 U/secs. 376(2)(f)(n), 506 IPC and sec 5(l)(m)(n) r/w 6 Pocso Act and took up investigation. After thorough enquiry, Inspector of Police,  filed charge sheet accordingly.

The Bharosa Centre has facilitated the victim family in Counseling, Medical support, Legal support, financial support, Submission of documents for Compensations, apart from home visit by Bharosa staff. 

At the time of trial, the case was transferred to Bandlaguda PS on the basis of Jurisdiction.  The concerted efforts by the Investigating Officer, Sri. K.N. Prasad Varma, Inspector of Police, Chandryanguta PS, Sri. Ram Reddy, Public Prosecutor, Smt. Kalpana, Legal Support Officer – Bharosa, Other Bharosa Team and Court Duty Officer by name Sri. Syed Nayeem Uddin, PC 3677 of Chandrayanguta PS, contributed immensely during the course of trial which h ended in Conviction, being awarded by Smt. T. Anitha, Honourable Special Sessions Judge for XII AMSJ Court, Nampally, Hyderabad.


The concerted efforts of Police Officers and Officers at Bharosa Centre were closely monitored by Smt. D Kavitha, DCP, Women Safety, Prasanna Lakshmi, ACP, Women Safety, Hyderabad apart from T. Jyothsna, Inspector Bharosa and Mary Augustine, Centre Administrator. 


Sri. Sandeep Shandilya, IPS, CP Sir Hyderabad, appreciated the efforts of all the stake holders for their efforts and coordination.
