APPREHENDED TWO CHAIN SNATCHERS- RECOVERED  GOLD ORNAMENTS AND ONE BIKE- ALL WORTH RS. 2.2 LAKHS

On 06-10-2023 in the evening hours, the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, East Zone Team, Hyderabad City, along with Amberpet Police apprehended habitual chain Snatchers namely 1) Kurakula Rohit and 2) Golusula Alikesh who were involved in (03) Chain Snatching offences under the Police Station limits of Amberpet and Rajendranagar PSs- Recovered 29.7 gms of Gold ornaments and one bike from their possession.

Accused Details 

1) Kurakula Rohit, S/o Late Srinivas, age: 21 yrs, occ: Auto driver, R/o Near Amma garden, kattedan, Mailardevpally, N/o near old bus stand, Siddipet.

2) Golusula Alikesh, S/o Late Mallesham, age: 23 yrs, occ: Car driver, R/o KCR Nagar, Housing board, Siddipet.

Seized Property.

1. 29.7 gms of Gold  chain and pustelu.

2. One Bajaj Platina bike.

Brief Facts of the case. -

The Brief facts of the case is that, the accused Kurakula Rohit is born and bought up in Siddipet District, he studied upto 9th class  and could not porceed further studies.  He used to work as a labour  and eking his livilhood. Over a period of time he was passionate in maked reels  and posting in Tiktok entertainment app. While so he came into contact with one lady  who is a native of Vizag, their friendship was turned into love and they amicibly married each other and leading life in Siddipet.  The income from his earnings are not sufficient to lead his family,  so he pledged his wife gold  and encash  the amout for his family needs  as well as for his lavish expenditures. As the days are passing his family could not survive, in this juncture he along with his friend by name Golusula Alikesh who is a resident of Siddipet and professionally cab driver hatced a plan to procure Ganja and sell in the market to earn easy money, as per their plan they procured Ganja from their known sources and started selling to the needy customers in Siddipet, subsequently Rohit was caught by  Siddipet II and III- Town Police and Alikesh was caught by Siddipet I-town Police, after their  release from the jail  they both maintained distance from each other over Car sale issue which was owned by Alikesh,  While so Rohit wife decided to  move his family to Hyderabad so that she can mend Rohit attitude, accordingly they  shifted to Jalpally  and residing near to their relatives house. Rohit started driving trolly auto  and leading his life. During the month of September he was approached by the Band company organizer to pick up and drop his staff in veiw of Ganesh Festival immerssions  bookings,  in this jucture Rohit called upon his friend Alikesh  and  adviced him to assist as a co driver, accordingly Akilesh agreed and came to Hyderabad and joined with Rohit. They both were engaged for Rs. 20,000/- for one week till completion of Ganesh immersions. They  collectively worked for  five days and came into conclution that their income from the source are not meeting their expenditures and dets. Accordingly they hatched a plan to commit chain snatching offences as they were not recognised by the Police in Hyderabad City. As per their plan they bluffed band company owner  and took his Platina bike and  started committing offences. Initially they targeted the woman in Kukatpally  area but failed to do so. Later they diverted their attention and committed  chain snatchings in Amberpet  and  Rajendranagar  areas by targeting the woman moving in isolated places. Like wise they  collectively committed (02) chain snatching in  Amberpet and one  in Rajendranagar  Police Station limits and sped away  with the booty.

  Acting on the tipoff the Commissioners Taskforce East Zone Team along with Amberpet Police apprehended the accused persons in Mailardevpally area and seized snatched Gold Chain, pustelu and Platina bike  from their possession. The apprehended accused persons along with seized property  were handed over to SHO Amberpet PS for taking necessary action.

The above arrests were made under the supervision of Sri T. Srinath Reddy, Inspector of Police, Commissioner’s Taskforce, East Zone Team, SI’s Sri C.Venkatesh, Sri B. Aravind Goud, Sri. P. Nagaraju  along with Team and Amberpet Police.
