NABBED (3) INTERNATIONAL DRUG PEDLLERS & (5) PERSONS – SEIZED (50) GRAMS MDMA, (24) ECSTASY PILLS & (8) GRAMS OF COCAINE ALL W/Rs.10 LAKHS.           


The sleuths of TSNAB along with Gudimalkapur Police, on credible information apprehended (3) International Drug Peddlers along with (5) local persons who were in the possession of Narcotic Drugs. Seized Drugs i.e., Cocaine, MDMA & Ecstasy Pills, total worth Rs.10 Lakhs from their possession.


Details of Accused persons:


1) Amobi Chukwudi Muonagolu S/o Late Amobi, age 29 yrs, Occ: Drug Peddler, R/o 24th Cross, Maruthi Nagar, Yelahanka, Bengalure, Karnataka, N/o No.3, Ekwusigo, Anambra state, Nigeria.


2) Igbawre Micheal S/o Micheal, age 32 yrs, Occ: Drug Peddler, R/o Dawka, New Delhi, N/o Agkp, Dette State, Nigeria.


3) Thomas Anagha Kalu S/o Late Anagha Kalu, age 49 yrs, Occ: Drug Peddler, R/o H.No.93, 1st Floor, 11th Cross, Basava Lingappa Nagara, Sampigehalli, Bengalure, N/o Ohafia, Logos State, Nigeria.


4) Devarakonda Suresh Rao S/o Late Vittal Rao, age 35 yrs, Occ: Sales Manager at YumzyX, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, R/o H.No.8-2-293/82/DKN/ Silent Lake Valley, Road No.51, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.


5) Kolli Ramchand S/o K.Shobha Nagendra Prasad, age 37 yrs, Occ: Nursery Business, R/o Flat No.407, 1st Floor, Road No.18, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, N/o H.No.2-99, Gitam College Road, Yendada, Vishakapatnam Rural, A.P., 


6) Kurapati Sandeep S/o K.Venkateshwarlu, age 35 yrs, Occ: Marketing Manager in Dismustase Bio-Tech, R/o Flat No.1401, Aparna Westside, Manikonda, Hyderabad, N/o H.No.9-1-35/1, Mamatha Hospital Road, Khammam.


7) Anugu Sushanth Reddy S/o Sri A.Sathi Reddy age 36 yrs, Occ: Film Director, R/o Villa No.1, The Trails Villas, Manikonda, Hyderabad.


8) Pagalla Srikar Krishna Praneeth @ Praneeth S/o Prakash Kumar, age 32 yrs Occ: Business, R/o Flat No.303, Park Arcade, Gorantla, Guntur, A.P. 


Seized material:

1) Cocaine – 08 Grams.

2) MDMA – 50 Grams.

3) Ecstasy Pills - 24

4) Cell phones – 08.


Brief about the accused persons:

The accused Amobi Chukwudi Muonagolu is native of Nigeria. In the month of May-2020 he came to India on business VISA and settled in Bengalure. He became a member of Football club at Yelahanka, Bengalure and started selling drugs and earning money easy way. 

Previous arrested cases:

1. Cr.No.124/2021 U/s 21(C) of NDPS Act-1985 Bagaluru PS, Bengalure.

2. Cr.No.520/2022 U/s.14 of Foreigners Act 1946, Sec.2 of The Passport Entry in India Act 1920, Sec.8(c) r/w 22(c), 27(a) of NDPS Act-1985 of Banjara Hills PS.

3. Cr.No.158/2022 U/s 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) & 27 of NDPS Act-1985 of Humayun Nagar PS.


The accused Igbawre Micheal is native of Nigeria. In the year 2022 he came to Delhi, India on Medical VISA. Whenever he used to come to Bengalure stays with Amobi Chukwudi Muonagolu. He is purchasing drugs from local Nigerians on lower price and selling to the needy persons on higher price at Bengalure and Hyderabad.


The accused Thomas Anagha Kalu is native of Nigeria. In the year 2015 he came to Mumbai, India on Business VISA and settled in Bengalure. He came to India on the pretext of selling drugs and earning money illegally. 


Previous arrested cases:

1. Cr.No.257/2020 U/s 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act-1985 by Rajgopalnagar PS, Bengalure

2. Cr.No.2/2021 U/s 21(b) of NDPS Act-1985 by Kadugondanahalli PS, Bengalure

3. Cr.No.54/2021 U/s 22(c) of NDPS Act-1985 by D.J.Halli PS, Bengalure


          All the above 3 Nigerians came into contact with each other at Bengalure and regularly used to help one another in drug peddling in Bengalure as well as in Hyderabad. 


Modus operandi:      


The accused Amobi Chukwudi Muonagolu used to purchase drugs from other Nigerian National Kewly who recently shifted to his native country Nigeria. The accused Igbawre Micheal is purchasing drugs from Ben Frank Wilson @ Benard and the accused Thomas Anagha Kalu is purchasing drugs from Favour Ugwu (who also recently shifted to his native country Nigeria) and selling the same to needy customers and earning money illegally. 


The accused Amobi Chukwudi Muonagolu is the member of All India Nigerian Students & Community Association, Bengalure and helping their community members by raising funds under the trust called “Help for Bookie & Innocent” to meet the expenditure viz., deportation, bail and other legal services. The above Nigerian drug peddlers captured the whatsapp numbers of the customers/consumers by opting attractive messages through their Nigerian Phone numbers which started with +234 and make them to purchase drugs from them.  


 All the above Nigerians continue drug peddling by purchasing drugs from their known suppliers. While doing drug peddling the accused persons got good number of customers in Hyderabad. Some of their customers also used to go to Bengalure to purchase drugs from them. Few days back the accused Kapa Bhaskar Balaji (who arrested earlier) and Ram (Absconding) came from Hyderabad and purchased Cocaine, Ecstasy Pills from them. They know that the said Ram and Kapa Bhskar Balaji are also selling the drugs to their known friends in Hyderabad. 


The accused Devarakonda Suresh, Kolli Ramchand, Kuarapati Sandeep, Sushanth Reddy and Pagalla Srikar Krishna Praneeth are regularly purchasing drugs from Kapa Bhaskar Balaji and Ram who procures drugs from the above Nigerians and supplying to other consumers. 


As per the orders placed by the above local persons the (3) Nigerian drug peddlers came to Hyderabad to sell drugs i.e. MDMA, Cocaine & Ecstasy Pills to them, in the meantime on credible information the sleuth of TSNAB along with Gudimalkapur Police apprehended all the accused persons in the possession of drugs. In this case the main drug supplier Ben Frank Wilson @ Benard is at large.


APPEAL TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC:-

In recent times we have seen several youth/students getting addicted to Drugs, committing crime and involving in other anti-social activities. Several families have become victims of this menace. It is an ardent request from Hyderabad City Police to the youth/students not to fall prey to drugs and request the parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children and feel free to approach police or pass information to Police on Phone No. 8712671111 to curtail such anti-social activities and strive for Drug free city.


The arrests were made under the supervision of Smt D.Sunitha Reddy, SP (West), TSNAB and Sri K.Narsing Rao, DSP, TSNAB by Inspector’s Sri P.Rajesh, Sri G.S.Daniel, Sri B.Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy with staff of H-NEW along with Gudimalkapur Police.
