MBT demands judicial inquiry into the kidnapping and murder of ex-HG, Mohammed Rizwan and Suspension and dismissal from service Inspector and Sub-Inspector of Police, IS Sadan for dereliction of duty: MBT

Mohammed Rizwan-32 a resident of Banunagar, Santoshnagar, Hyderabad who was a Home Guard was bedridden for the last one and a half year after he met with an accident and underwent two surgeries for his fractured leg. That on 11th Sep 2023 at around 3:30 PM Mohammed Rizwan got a call from a known friend to come to Ridan Hotel, Santoshnagar from where he was kidnapped and taken to an undisclosed location. On 12th Sep 2023 his father Mohammed Afzal got a call from his son to arrange Rs/ 10.0 lakhs and come to the Bazarghat area. His father went and called on the given number some persons arrived in two four wheelers in which his son was sitting along with some persons and he was also taken to a cellar of a building in which more than 20-25 people were taking Drugs and Drinking alcohol and in front of him bet very badly Mohammed Rizwan. His father approached IS Sadan Police Station and informed the Sub-Inspector about the incident.

The Sub-Inspector called on the number which was received by his father for ransom and someone spoke in Telugu and said it as a wrong number. Immediately his father again got a threatening call saying that they will kill his son if he goes to the police. His father arranged Rs/ 2.0 lakhs from a financier and sent on a given Google number and bank account number after which his son was released on 13th Sep night. Mohammed Afzal took his son Mohd Rizwan (ex-HG) to Santoshnagar Police Station on 14th Sep 2023 and informed about the Kidnapping and payment of Rs/ 2.0 lakhs as ransom and their demand of more Rs/ 8.0 lakhs to be paid in one month. What prompted Santoshnagar Police to keep quiet after knowing the identity of kidnappers, No one knows whether this incident was informed to senior police officers or not and if the senior police officers were informed why an FIR was not registered and immediate arrest was not made.

Since Mohammed Rizwan was released from the captive of Kidnappers he was vomiting Blood and his health was deteriorating day by day and he was admitted in Osmania General Hospital on 16th Sep and later shifted to Owaisi Hospital, Kanchanbagh and unfortunately he took hi last breath on 18th Sep 2023 early morning.On knowing about the incident Amjed Ullah Khan (Spokesman) MBT today visited IS Sadan Police Station and met the family members of the diseased and said that the death of Mohammed Rizwan an Ex-Home Guard is a blot on Hyderabad Police and demanded Judicial Inquiry by a sitting High Court Judge into this kidnapping and torturing for ransom which lead to death, Mr Khan demanded the suspension of Inspector of Police and Sub-Inspector of Police, IS Sadan Police Station for dereliction of duty and called for a detailed departmental inquiry into this incident as even after being informed why the IS Sadan Police didn’t informed to senior Police Officers about the incident and Why there was no FIR or arrest was made. Mr Khan said day by day Hyderabad is becoming a Capital for Murders, Drugs, Kidnapping etc and the major point of lawlessness is that very young and in-experienced Police Officers are being appointed as DCP’s and inefficient police officers are being appointed as ACP’s and Inspector’s on recommendation of Politicians from BRS and AIMIM party leading to law and order problems in and around Hyderabad.
