APPREHENDED (15) ANTI DEPRESSANT DRUG DEALERS, SUPPPLIERS AND SELLER - SEIZED – 1160 BOTTELES OF CODEINE PHOSPHATE 

APPREHENDED (15) ANTI DEPRESSANT DRUG DEALERS, SUPPPLIERS AND SELLER - SEIZED – 1160 BOTTELES OF CODEINE PHOSPHATE (116 KGs), 1,52,400 ALPRAZOLAM TABLETS (15.2 KG) AND 14 MOBILE PHONES – ALL WORTH OF Rs. 40 LAKHS/-

The sleuths of the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with Malakpet and Kulsumpura Police have apprehended (15) Anti Depressant Drug Dealers, Suppliers and Seller. Who were found in illegal possession of Narcotic and Psychotropic Drugs i.e., Codeine Phosphate Syrup drug and Alprazolam Tablets under Malakpet and Kulsumpura PS limits, Hyderabad. Total 1160 Bottles of Codeine Phosphate Syrup (116 Kgs), 1,52,400 Alprazolam Tablets (15.2 Kgs), (14) Mobile Phones and 01 SWIFT DZIRE Car are seized at the instance of the accused.

DETAILS OF THE ARRESTED DEALERS, SUPPLIERS AND SELLERS OF CODEINE PHOSPHATE: -

1) Pavan Aggarwal, R/o Faridabad, Haryana. 

2) Mohd Basheer Ahmed, Bio-Sphere Medical Agency, R/o Amberpet, Hyderabad.

3) A. Satyanarayana, R/o Saidabad Colony, Hyderabad. 

4) Pocham Venu, Akshaya medical Shop R/o, Uppal, Hyderabad. 

SEIZED MATERIAL:

1) 1160 Bottles of Codeine Phosphate Syrup (116 Kgs - Each Bottle Contains 100 ml).

2) 04 Mobile Phones.

 All W.Rs. 2.32 Lakhs/-

BRIEF ABOUT ACCUSED:

The H-NEW along with Malakpet Police have busted a network of illegal diversion and supply of Anti depressant prescription drugs i.e., Codeine Phosphate Syrup.

Codeine Phosphate Syrup is an Opioid Anti depressant drug and it is being diverted for illegal sales leading to drug abuse in various parts of old City, Nampally, Mehdipatnam, Malakpet, Amberpet Localities.

The main supplier Pavan Agarwal is native of Faridabad, South Delhi is illegally diverting and supplying the Codeine Phosphate Syrup with out bills to Mohd. Basheer Ahmed, Bio-Sphere Medical Agency at the rate of Rs.40/- per bottle. There after Basheer is selling the same without bills to A. Sathyanaraya and Pocham Venu who are in-turn  illegally selling to the needy customers at the rate of Rs.200/- per bottle in black market.

2) G. Purana Chander, R/o New Gaddianaram, Hyderabad. 

3) M. Mallesh @ Mahesh, Occ: Supply Boy, R/o Jillelguda, Meerpet, Hyderabad. 

4) R. Srinivas Reddy, Occ: R.S. Medcal Store, Babu Bhat, R/o Langer House, Hyderabad.

5) Konda Venugopal, Occ: Zonel Manager, Johnlee Pharma, R/o Ramanthapur, Hyderabad.

6) M. Sridhar, Occ: Medical Supply Boy, R/o Asif Nagar, Hyderabad. 

7) M. Pavan Kumar, Occ: Gokul Medical Shop, R/o Redhills, Hyderabad. 

8) Mohd Abdul Hafeez, Occ: Sardar Medical Shop, R/o Nampally, Hyderabad.

9) Mohd Abdul Sami, Occ: Medical Shop (Hyderabad Medical Shop), R/o Mangalhat Hyderabad. 

10) Zahiruddin Ahmed, Occ: Life Pharma, R/o Malepally, Hyderabad.

11) Neeraj Sigh, Occ: Meera Medical Shop, R/o Jiyaguda, Hyderabad.

And 10 other absconding Persons. 

SEIZED MATERIAL:

1) 1,52,400 Tablets of Alprazolam (15.2 Kgs).

2) 01 SWIFT DZIRE CAR

3) 10 Mobile Phones.

 All W.Rs.20Lakhs/-

BRIEF ABOUT ACCUSED:

The H-NEW along with Kulsumpura Police have busted a network of illegal diversion and supply of depressant prescription drugs i.e., Alprazolam Tablets.

Alprazolam is a Narcotic Prescription drug is being illegally diverted and being abused in various parts of old city, Karwan, Kulsumpura, Nampally, Mehdipatnam localities of Hyderabad.

The main accused Addanki Vankata Suresh is purchasing Alprazolam Tablets from 1) Bio-Lab Remedies, Bundi, Rajasthan State, 2) Ajantha Medical Agencies, Kawadiguda , Hyderabad, and illegally diverting and suppling without bill to the unauthorized persons i.e., Purna Chander, Mallesh@Mahesh, Ramesh, Venugopal who are not having any licenses either to purchase or to sell. The above mentioned persons are diverting and selling illegally to 20 drug sellers in the city and they are in turn selling to the needy customers in Hyderabad City. Today we have arrested 7 Medical shopkeepers and 4 illegal medical supply boys.

On credible information, Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with Malakpet and Kulsumpura PS apprehended the Anti Depressant Drug Dealers, Supppliers And Seller - Seized – 1160 Bottles of Codeine Phosphate (116 Kgs), 1,52,400 Alprazolam Tablets And 14 Mobile Phones from his possession.

APPEAL TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC: -

In recent times we have seen several youth/students getting addicted to Drugs, committing crime and involving in other anti-social activities. Several families have become victims of this menace. It is an ardent request from Hyderabad City Police to the youth/students not to fall prey to drugs and request the parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children and feel free to approach police or pass information to Police on Phone No. 8712661601 to curtail such anti-social activities and strive for Drug free city.

The above arrests were made under the supervision of Sri Chakravarthy Gummi, DCP, Hyderabad-Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), Sri P. Ramesh Reddy, Inspector of Police, H-NEW, Sri C. Venkat Ramulu, SI, H-NEW and H-NEW staff along with Sri. K. Srinivas, Inspector of Police, Malakpet PS, Sri T. Ashok Kumar, Inspector of Police, Kulsumpura PS along with staff.
