*ACCUSED GOT 7 YEARS IMPRISONMENT CONVICTION IN DOWRY DEATH CASE.*

Cr.No. 123/2016 U/S 304-B IPC of Choutuppal PS, Rachakonda.

Facts of the case are that, on 21.05.2016 at 20.00 hours, Choutuppal Police received a complaint from Sri. Poloju Omakara Chary S/o Rajaiah, aged 55 years, R/o Thangadapally (V) of Choutuppal (M) wherein he stated that, in the year 2011 accused Kishore S/o Deva Sahayam, 26 years, Occ: Spinning sider in Surya Udaya Spinning Mill, R/o Lingojigudem (V) of Choutuppal (M) in the guise of love followed his daughter/deceased G Kavitha, aged 25 years who also works at Surya Udaya Spinning Mill and got married. After two years accused Kishore harassed his wife/deceased Kavitha for dowry of Rs. 2 Lakhs and beat the deceased severely. On that the deceased mother Poloju Indramma provided an amount of Rs.5000/- twice and requested the accused not to harass the deceased but the accused did not change his attitude. On 17.05.2016 the accused quarrelled with the deceased and beat her severely with a stick and pestle due to which she received contusion injuries on her back side of neck, right and left ears and right hand. On the next day i.e. on 18.05.2016 when the deceased asked the accused for money, he rejected saying “Nee Chaavu Neevu Chaavu”. Meantime, the deceased went to room to change her cloths by informing her mother and bolted the door from inside and attempted suicide by hanging to the ceiling fan with her saree. The deceased mother noticed the same through the window, made hues and cries. On hearing the same the accused and others rushed to the spot, broke open the door and took her to Hospital for treatment. After three days on i.e., on 21.05.2016 at about 0930 hours the deceased died while undergoing treatment in Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad.

Basing on the above complaint a case was registered at Choutuppal PS, during the course of investigation, the IO Sri. S. Mohan Reddy, SDPO Bhongir collected evidence. On completion of investigation the IO filed charge sheet. During the trail today i.e., on 29.12.2022 Hon'ble 1 ADJ Court at Bhongiri Judge Smt. Maruthi devi convicted the accused Kishore S/o Deva Sahayam, 26 years, Occ: Spinning sider in Surya Udaya Spinning Mill, R/o Lingojigudem (V) of Choutuppal (M) *to undergo 7 years Imprisonment conviction and imposed fine of Rs. 2,000/-.*

In this case the IO Sri. S. Mohan Reddy, SDPO Bhongir, CDO Sri. M.Swathi, WPC 4037 Choutuppal PS, Addl. PP Sri. Syed Jameel have attended on behalf of prosecution.
