Khālid ibn al-Walīd ibn al-Mughīrah al-Makhzūmī (Arabic: خالد بن الوليد بن المغيرة المخزومي; 585–642), commonly known as simply Khalid ibn al-Walīd, and also known by his kunya as, Abu Sulaiman was a companion of Muhammad Mustafa Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallim an army commander under Abu Bakr RA and Umar ibn Khattab RA.[1] It was under his military leadership that Arabia, for the first time, was united under a single political entity, the Caliphate. He then helped expand the Rashidun Caliphate during the early Muslim conquests, defeating armies of the Sasanian Persian Empire and Byzantine Roman Empire. Having remained undefeated, he is widely considered to be one of the greatest warriors and military generals in history.
