 THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, CYBERABAD DETAINED ONE NOTORIOUS PROPERTY OFFENDER 

UNDER P.D. ACT.

 In ongoing drive against offenders in Cyberabad Commissionerate, the Commissioner of Police Cyberabad VC Sajjanar, IPS., has invoked detention order against one notorious property offender of diverting attention gang  Waseem Abbas Siraj, S/o Late Siraj Babulal, Age 34 Years, Occ: Dry Fruits Shop at Ambevalli, Patil Nagar, Ambevalli, Klayan Taluq, Thane District, Maharashtra State.

            The accused Waseem Abbas Siraj is a native of Kalyan Tq. Thane District, Maharashtra State. He along with his associates Javeed Baali, Jai Kumar Rajak committed several property offences in Mumbai and lodged in Jail, there he got introduced with Niyaz Mohammed Khan resident of Hyderabad. After released from Jail, they all conspired and came to Hyderabad to commit property offences by diverting attention method.

                       They   roamed   on their vehicles C.T. 100 and Activa and targeted old aged women shopkeepers nearby the temples.

The accused Waseem used to  meet women shopkeepers  in their shops while other  associates Jai Kumar Rajak and Niyaz Md. Khan watch the surroundings.


They persuaded shopkeepers that they came to temples for their vehicle pooja and  used to give bag containing  Misri packets, currency notes and Parle-G Biscuit packets with request to distribute in poor people who came to shop or in temple or orphanage home.

They attracted women with his attire ,gullible and tactical words and conjured them and diverted their attention and  asked to put their gold ornaments on  currency note to perform pooja for their good faith. The victims believed their version and kept gold ornaments on it.

  After pooja, the accused persons used to tie the ornaments in a plastic cover duly with rubber band, meantime by diverting their attention and replace the other plastic cover containing coconuts and biscuit packets and handed the  to victims and asked to put in-front of God Idol and  fled away with stolen booty.


 As they cheated innocent women in an organized fashion in the limits of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate thus acting in a manner prejudicial to maintenance of public order, thereby disturbing peace and tranquillity in the area.

           The above offender is involved in (06) cases in the year 2018 in the limits of Mailardevpally, Narsingi Rajendra Nagar, Shamshabad of  Cyberabad Police Commissionerate and Pahadi Shareef of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.

        On credible information, the  above offender was arrested on 21.01.2019 by Narsingi Police at Shamshabad and recovered 31.5 tulas gold ornaments  pertain to the above six cases and remanded him to Judicial custody.
