MALKAJGIRI POLICE ARRESTED 

 

MALKAJGIRI POLICE ARRESTED 7 IN A CASE OF THEFT OF 950 CARTONS OF IMFL WORTH RS. 75 LAKHS AND RECOVERED THE STOLEN LIQUOR WORTH 73 LAKHS ALONG WITH THE LORRY USED FOR TRANSPORT OF THE STOLEN LIQUOR

On 01.02.2019 Malkajgiri Police arrested a gang of 7 offenders, who committed theft of 950 cartons of IMFL and recovered the stolen property of  849 cartons worth of Rs.73,00,000/-, the lorry used for transport of liquor and a cell phone were also seized.

Details of the accused:-

A-3 MD Muneer, s/o Ahmed, age: 42 yrs, occ: Driver, r/o H No: 21-3-39, Indiranagar, Gadavarikhani, Ramagundam, Peddapalli. Arrested
A-4 Gandu Sanjeev @ Sanjeev, S/o Late Ananthaiya, age: 43 yrs, Occ: Bsuiness,  R/o H.No: 3-16, Kachapur Village, Julapalli Mandal, Peddapalli District. Arrested

1. Brief facts of the case: The brief facts of the case are that one B Ravi Kumar, s/o. VV Balasubramanyam, age. 41 yrs, who is working as Commercial Manager in United Spirits limited at Malkajgiri lodged a complainant stating that on 18.01.2019 he shipped a consignment of 950 cases of IMFL to Macherial Depot through one of his approved transporter Associated Roadways Pvt Ltd in a Truck No. AP21Y 2249.   But till 21.01.2019 at 0900 the truck hasn’t reached the destination.  Basing on the above contents, registered a case in Cr.No. 55/2019, u/s. 420, 407 IPC and took up the investigation.
 
2. MODUS OPERANDI (MO) –Kommaravelli Rakesh (A1) along with his two other associates i.e, MD Muneer (A3) and T. Sammaiah (A-2) were facing financial problems.  As such keeping in view of Grampanchayath elections they hatched up a plan to commit theft of liquor from a company at Hyderabad and sell it to needy persons to ease out their financial crises.   As per their plan Rakesh procured a TATA lorry bearing No. AP16TW 6258, from Vijayawada and two SIM cards for him and Sammaiah (Driver), which was provided by Ravi (A5).  On 18.01.2019 in the morning hours the accused Sammaiah and Muneer along with lorry reached Nacharam from Godavarikhani.   On the way they changed the lorry number from AP16TW 6258 to AP21Y 2249 to obliterate its identity. Later Rakesh joined them at Nacharam.  Further Rakesh and Sammaiah have purchased the two Jio cell phones from a mobile shop at Nacharam. Rakesh inserted a SIM in his cell phone and Sammaiah inserted another SIM in his  phone.  They hired a driver Majeed to pass the loaded lorry from Nacharam Liquor India utilizing his driving license to pass the gate.  On the same morning Rakesh called Sadanandam, who is the lorry supplier from Manchiryal, and requested for liquor load, if any, Sadanandam told them that there is requirement from M/s Associates Roadwaya, Himayatnagar for transport of liquor from Shawallace Company (United Spirits Ltd)., Malkajgiri to Manchiryal.  Taking this opportunity, Sammaiah and Majeed went to the company, informed the representative of Shawallace company that they are from M/s Associated Roadways   and loaded the liquor 950 cartons of various brands and passed the main gate of the company godown after showing the driving license of Majeed and left to Manchiryal.
On the way they took the assistance of Gandu Sanjeev, the lorry procurer, who is a close friend of Rakesh, to dump the liquor cartons.  With the help of Sanjeev they dumped the liquor cartons in a Poultry farm near Vadkapur in Peddapalli district. Later Rakesh, Sammaiah and Muneer left, on the way they dropped Muneer at Godavarikhani.  Rakesh and Sammaiah damaged SIM cards and cell phone and thrown somewhere on the way to Peddapalli after dumping the stolen liquor.  Rakesh along with Sammaiah left for Ballarsha, Maharashtra where they got repainted the lorry to obliterate its identity and came back after two days and parked the lorry at Ramalayam, Godavarikhani.

4. Role of each of the accused :

A-1 Kommaravelli Rakesh He arranged the lorry with the help of A4,  SIM cards and cell phones
A-2 MD Muneer He is the close aid of other two and sketched the complete plan.
A-3 Tammshetty Sammaiah. He is the driver, who drove the loaded lorry from the United Spirits, Malkajgiri along with Majeed.
A-4 Gandu Sanjeev He procured lorry from Vijayawada and assisted the A-1, A-2 & A-3 in dumping the liquor in the Poultry farm, Peddapalli.
A-5 Deknath Ravi Kumar Provided two Jio SIMs cards and fake RC for which he received Rs. 15,000/- from Rakesh.
A-6 Chilumula Nagesh Prepared SIM cards and given to Ravi.
A-7 Mohd Majeed.   Assisted to the accused A-1, A-2 & A-3 to pass over the loaded lorry from the United Spirits, Malkajgiri.

The accused A-1, A-2 & A-3 arrested at Godavarikhani on 01.02.2019 and the remaining accused A-4 to A-7 were arrested at Alwal on 02.02.2019.

 Efforts of Malkajgiri Police in detection of the theft of liquor and recovery of Rs. 73 lakhs worth of property were appreciated by the Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda.
