Press Note....Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad inaugurated “MY AUTO IS SAFE”

PRESS NOTE Today i.e., on 12-02-2019  Sri. Anjani Kumar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad inaugurated “MY AUTO IS SAFE” initiative at Tivoli Gardens, Secunderabad.  

Sri Anjani Kumar, IPS Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City addressed the gathering of about 1500 consisting of Auto drivers/owners, students, NCC cadets and Citizens of Hyderabad City. Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City in his speech, stated that Mercer Quality of Living Survey rated Hyderabad city as the safest city in India.             CP Hyderabad informed gathering that many multinational companies are coming to Hyderabad as they believe that Hyderabad is Safe City for their investment.  That investment, in turn, brings employment and income to the government in the form as a tax which ultimately bring development in all fields of the state.  The safety and Security can be achieved only through the cooperation and contribution of Citizens.  In his address, CP Hyderabad pointed out that the image of the City depend upon the reliability and conduct of Auto Drivers as large number of passengers/tourists choose Autos, which provide last mile connectivity, as the best conveyance to reach their destinations.                CP Hyderabad advised Auto drivers to build their image which will in turn develop their business and promised that Hyderabad City Police is with them in all situations and times and urged Auto drivers to make travelling in Auto as the safest mode of public transport.
Smt. Shika Goel, IPS, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Crimes and She Teams, Hyderabad also attended the programme and addressed the gathering.  Addl. CP Crimes, Hyderabad, while pointing on the safety of Women and Senior Citizens, stressed that the sticker “MY AUTO IS SAFE” on autos will definitely bring a secured feeling in the minds of passengers and specially among the girls and women of the City.
     Sri Anil Kumar, Addl. Commissioner of police, Traffic, Hyderabad City highlighted the Hyderabad Traffic Police initiative “MY AUTO IS SAFE”.   Addl. CP Traffic, Hyderabad pointed out that “Hyderabad City has become a global city and centre for education, trade and business because of its sustainable rank in the list of best living place by many surveys.  Addl. CP Traffic, Hyderabad informed that more than 1000 autos per day are voluntarily coming forward and getting registered under my “MY AUTO IS SAFE” initiative.  He expressed his confidence that passengers/tourists will choose an Auto with “MY AUTO IS SAFE” Sticker for their travel in the City and revealed that the initiative aimed at making Hyderabad as a safe and secure city.

The girl students and senior citizen also spoke in the meeting and appreciated the initiative of Hyderabad Traffic Police and said that it will increase sense of security and safety in the minds of travellers.  The auto drivers also thanked the Hyderabad Police as it will give new brand name to their auto business and will help them in catching more passengers and also help them in competing with OLA and UBER.
Sri L.S. Chowhan, IPS., DCP Traffic-I presided over the meeting.                            Sri M. Bhaskar, Addl. DCP Traffic-I, Hyderabad presented the power point presentation on “MY AUTO IS SAFE” initiative and explained various aspects of this initiative.  Commissioner of Police and Addl. Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Hyderabad City affixed sticker “MY AUTO IS SAFE” to the Auto registered under this initiative.
Sri K. Babu Rao, DCP Traffic-II, ACsP and Inspectors of Hyderabad Traffic Police participated in this traffic awareness programme.  Sri K. Babu Rao, DCP Traffic-II conveyed vote of Thanks.
All the police officers thanked the Auto owners and drivers for their  cooperation and getting themselves registered.
