*3 YEARS IMPRISONMENT TO ACCUSED IN KIDNAPPING AND PROCURATION OF MINOR GIRL.*


Cr. No. Cr.No.492/2016  U/s. 366 (A) IPC , Sec. 12 of POCSO Act of PS Meerpet, Rachakonda Commissionerate :
The facts of the case are that, the accused Marrigudi Srinu, age:23yrs, Mason R/o  Meerpet village, Saroornagar mandal, N/o Prakasham district, AP came to contact with the victim minor girl, age; 16yrs and made her believe that he will marry her. On 10.07.2016 at 10 AM he kidnapped her and took her to Ongole  and sexually harassed her.
Basing on the complaint the IO Sri. Abdul Hameed,  Sub Inspector of Police,  Meerpet PS registered a case and remanded the accused Marripudi Srinu for Judicial custody.  After completion of investigation, the IO filed charge sheet in the Hon’ble Court,  During the trail, the Hon’ble Metropolitan Sessions Judge at LB nagar convicted the accused Marrigudi Srinu to undergo 3 years Rigorous Imprisonment and fined Rs 5000/-
Sri. Abdul Hameed, Sub Inspector of Police, AddlPP.Sri K.Rajireddy and Court Duty officer Sri.G. Bhema  CDO of Meerpet PS have attended on behalf of prosecution. Sri Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda appreciated the IO, Addl PP and CDO and announced  that they will be rewarded in monthly Reward Mela.
