*ARRESATED ONLINE FRAUDSTER*


The Rachakonda Cyber Crime sleuths have arrested one online fraudster by name ‘Rajath Ramesh Narkar’ s/o Ramesh Dattatreya Narkar age; 22 yrs Occ; Cell phone sales business R/o Flat No.3 Gayatri Apartments, Pushpak Nagar near Pushpa Vinayak Mandir, Masrul Nashik Maharashtra on 13-02-2019.


Facts are The complainant received a message from whatsapp number 7391999928 stating that his name is Rajath Ramesh Narkar who is running a business B.H Infotech Co. for distribution of cell phones for cheaper price, believing his version the complainant transferred money into the account of B.H Infotech of Maharashtra state. Likewise he used to transfer amounts and collected cell phones for some period. One day  when the complainant transferred around “70 lakhs” from his bank account to B.H Infotech account for the consignment but he(accused) did not deliver the cell phones and stopped responding over the phone, when the complainant caused enquiries the said B.H Infotech Co. address was found to be fake. Thus the accused committed cheating through online transactions and caused wrongful loss to the complainant. On the above complaint a case was registered vide Cr.No 22/2019, u/s 420-IPC & 66-C & 66-D IT Act.
During the confession the accused stated that he completed B.tech Computer science at KK Wagh College Nasik in the year 2018. After completion of his studies he registered a firm under the name “BH INFOTECH” at Nasik for the sale of cell phones in the month of April-2018. Further he registered his firm BH INFOTECH on “India Mart” and “Just dial” as a seller. Later, he started to get enquiries about the orders, he collected the money as per the sales orders to his companies current account. after receiving purchase orders from the mobile shops along with transfer of money to his account. He purchased cell phones from any whole sale shops and used to supply them to the respective online customers. While he was running this business, he incurred losses of about 50 lakhs rupees till Nov-2018. Later as some of his customers pressurised him and demanded to repay their money or material. Due to the financial pressure mounting ,he started to continue the same business and took the purchase orders from the complainant and received money by online transfer to BH INFOTECH companies account. Later he purchased the cell phones from Kailas deep Mobile, Mehatha Telecom, Mobile Market Tapkir gally Pune city and supplied through private travels from Pune to Hyderabad In between 7-1-2019 to 18-1-2019 the complainant transferred more than 80 Lakhs to the accused, on seeing big amount the accused developed greed and did not delivered the mobiles as per the purchase order. The said amount was transferred into to the accounts of many mobile shop dealers. Some amounts he used to his personal expenses. Thus he cheated the complainant. He is sent to judicial custody. Investigation is under progress to recover the embezzled amounts.
PRECAUTIONS :
The mobile shop owners are here by cautioned to be aware of such fraudsters who are always on the prowl to cheat and loot the innocent people. People are adviced to be doubly sure before believing and entering into any financial transactions.

The case is investigated by Sri. P. Laxmikanth Reddy, Inspector of Police, assisted by M. Vikram Reddy, SI of Police Cyber Crime and team under the supervision of Sri. S.Harinath, Asst. Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crime, Rachakonda; and under the guidance of Sri. Nagaraj, DCP (Crimes), Rachakonda in detecting the case. Sri. Mahesh M. Bhagwat, I.P.S., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda appreciated the efforts of Cyber Crime PS, Rachakonda in detecting the cases.
